    Israel is a diver’s paradise. It’s mild climate ensures year round diving in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean and the Red Seas, where hundreds of miles of easily accessible coral reefs and spectacular seascapes await the diving enthusiast. A variety of diving experiences unequalled anywhere in the world, including underwater photography, archaeological diving and grotto and cave diving. Diving can be included in any sightseeing tour. The following is an example tour which includes 4 days of diving (2 dives each day) in the Red Sea areas of Israel and Egypt. Transportation for the diving portion of the tour is in jeeps.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1 TEL AVIV/JERUSALEM                                             

Arrival in Tel Aviv. You will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 2 JERUSALEM  B                                                  

Breakfast then a full day tour of Jerusalem which includes such highlights as the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane, the Dome of the Rock, the Western Wall (Wailing Wall), the Via Dolorosa and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre which includes the last 5 Stations of the Cross. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 3 JERUSALEM   B                                                   

The day is yours to relax or discover points of interest.

Day 4 JERUSALEM/EILAT  B                                       

 Breakfast then we depart Jerusalem for the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. En route we stop to visit Masada, Herod’s hilltop fortress where Jewish zealots revolted against the Romans following the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple in 70 BCE. Continue via the Arava Plain to Eilat for overnight.

Day 5 EILAT/NUWEIBA  B                                                  

We leave Eilat in jeeps for diving in the Japanese Gardens. Cross the Egyptian border at Sinai and continue to the Taba Canyon and south to Nuweiba for diving. Overnight in Nuweiba.

Day 6 NUWEIBA/DAHAB   B                                           

This morning we head to Dahab for diving in the “Blue Hole” and in the Dahab Canyon. Overnight in Dahab.

Day 7 DAHAB/RAS UM SID B                                             

Continue to Sharm and diving in Nabq with its stunning sandy beaches fully equipped with diving centers. Continue to Ras Um Sid located at the tip of a small peninsula a few kilometers from Naama Bay offering spectacular views of the Red Sea and the reefs. Overnight in Ras Um Sid.

Day 8 RAS UM SID/RAS NASRANI/EILAT  B                              

This morning we head to Ras Nasrani for a dive then return across the border to Eilat for overnight.

Day 9 EILAT/TEL AVIV   B                                                       

Breakfast then we leave Eilat for Mitzpe Ramon. Visit Avdat, an ancient Nabataean city and Beersheva, the capital of the Negev before continuing on to Tel Aviv for overnight.

Day 10 TEL AVIV  B                                                        

This morning a sightseeing tour of Tel Aviv will take us to see some of the highlights of the White City. Explore the Old City of Jaffa with its narrow passageways and alleys. The afternoon is yours to relax or do further sightseeing.

Day 11 TEL AVIV   B                                                                 

Departure transfer to the airport.

Tours are based on a minimum of 15-20 participants, but can be customized for individuals based on their specific requests. Other diving areas can be substituted.

Tour Includes:

–        All airport transfers and sightseeing as per the itinerary.

–        Service of an English speaking local guides.

–        Hotel Accommodation based on double occupancy.

–        Meals as specified (B-Breakfast; L-Lunch; D-Dinner).

–        Entrance fees to the monuments.

Not included:

–        Airfare, taxes, lunches, insurance, gratuities, rental of diving equipment or lessons.

–        Egyptian visa charge $26.00 USD.

–        Egyptian Departure Tax.

–        Sinai Tax. Collected at checkpoint.
