Visits are based on ability, personal interest and time limitation. Vans are equipped with a lift and are able to take 3 persons in wheelchairs and 5 people without wheelchairs. Day tours are led by an English speaking tour guide/driver who is experienced with working with people with disabilities and special needs. Equipment rentals such as wheelchairs (electrical or manual) as well as scooters are also available for rental.
The tour departs Ashdod port at 8:00am.Leaving Ashdod we drive to Jerusalem to visit the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the old City of Jerusalem. Stroll through the Jewish Quarter and the Cardo. We continue through the colorful Arab market with its pungent aromas. Visit the Christian Quarter and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Walk through the 3, 4, 5 and 7 Stations of the Cross on the Via Dolorosa.
Our next stop will be at the famous Western Wall where you can pray and touch the ancient stones of the Temple Mount. Drive through the New City of Jerusalem and pass the Knesset (Israel Parliament) and the Supreme Court located in Givat Ram, Jerusalem. Return back to Ashdod at 6pm
Tel Aviv and Jaffa tour (from / to Ashdod)
The tour departs Ashdod port at 8am.We leave Ashdod for Tel Aviv and Jaffa driving through surburban Tel Aviv. Our day begins in Jaffa, famous for its Biblical stories affiliated with Jonah, St. Peter and Solomon. Visit Jaffa port and learn about the great history of the city. Then drive up to the old city for a panoramic overview of Jaffa port and Tel Aviv.
Proceed to Neve Tzedek, the first Jewish neighborhood outside the walls of Jaffa for a stroll throughout the picturesque streets and lovely shops. Our day ends with a sightseeing tour of Tel Aviv viewing the beautiful and historical Rothschild Boulevard, Rabin square, Tel Aviv City Hall and more.We will return to Ashdod at 6pm.
Jewish Shore Excursion Tours
Jerusalem Old city (from / to Ashdod).
The tour departs Ashdod port at 8am.Drive to Jerusalem to see a magnificent overview of Jerusalem and the Judea Desert from Mount Scopus near the Hebrew University Campus. Proceed to the Old City entering through the Zion Gate, one of the gates leading to the Jewish Quarter used by Israeli Paratroopers during the Six Day War. Visit the tomb of King David located on Mt. Zion. Walk along the Cardo the ancient Roman Road and view the remains of the wall of Jerusalem dating from the 1st Temple Period.
Visit the Jewish Quarter, the Davidson Center and tour the southern wall excavation. Visit the Kotel, also known as the Western Wall. On Mondays and Thursdays an opportunity to join the Bar-Mitzvah ceremonies. The last stop on our tour will be in Mea Shearim, an ultra-orthodox neighborhood where you will learn about their unique lifestyle. Return to Ashdod at 6pm.
Jerusalem New City (from / to Ashdod)
The tour departs Ashdod port at 8am.Drive to the New City of Jerusalem, where you will view the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament and the Supreme Court located in Givat Ram. Proceed to Mount Hertzl, the military cemetery and Yad Vashem, the somber and moving Jewish Memorial to the Victims of the Holocaust. We visit the Hadassah Medical Center to see Chagall’s stain glass windows. Leaving Jerusalem we travel via Ein Karem, an ancient priests (Cohanim) village during the 2nd temple time and drive back to Ashdod through a beautiful route. Back to Ashdod port at 6pm
