7 DAY TOUR DISCOVERING THE BALTIC STATES VILNIUS, RIGA AND TALLINN

Day 1: Wednesday – Arrive Vilnius

You will be met and transferred to your hotel. There’s time to relax before meeting your fellow travelers and Tour Director over a Welcome drink. (WD)

Day 2: Thursday – in Vilnius

Vilnius is located on the confluence of the Neris and Velnele Rivers. In Old Vilnius we visit the baroque St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church and the striking St. Anne’s Church. View Vilnius University dating back to 1570, the famous Gediminas’ Tower named after the Grand Duke Gediminas and Vilnius Castle. The afternoon is free to continue exploring. (B)

Optional:  Town of Trakai, beautifully set on three lakes.

Day 3: Friday – to Riga

Depart this morning for Riga, the capital of Latvia. The balance of the day is at leisure to begin exploring the city with its interesting architecture, do some shopping or go for a walk through the city. (B)

Day 4: Saturday – in Riga

See Riga Castle on the banks of the Daugava River, the magnificent Dome Cathedral, St. Jacobs Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Parliament building, Liberty Monument and the district of Art Nouveau houses on a morning sightseeing tour. The rest of the day is free to explore more, shop, or maybe sample Latvian crepes. (B)

Day 5: Sunday – to Tallinn

Today our journey will take us to Tallinn, Estonia’s capital situated on the southern coast of the Gulf of Finland. (B)

Day 6: Monday – in Tallinn

On a walking tour of Tallinn’s Upper and Lower Old Town we view the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Next, see Toompea Castle and see the 14^th-century Gothic Town Hall. The afternoon is free. This evening enjoy a Farewell dinner with your Tour Director and other traveling companions. (B,D)

Day 7: Tuesday – Depart Tallinn

Check out from the hotel. Departure transfer to Tallinn airport. (B)
