DAY 1 – USA/ CANADA DEPARTURE

DAY 2 – HELSINKI ARRIVAL (-/-/-)

Welcome to Finland. Upon arrival in Helsinki, You will be transferred to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day at leisure. Explore the vibrant seaside city, its stunning islands and lush green urban areas. DAY 3 – HELSINKI – ROVANIEMI (BY TRAIN) (B/-/-)

Start your day with breakfast at your hotel. Today, you will embark on a Panorama tour of Helsinki, a shared excursion offering a popular sightseeing experience that highlights the city’s most significant landmarks and provides an excellent overview of Helsinki’s past and present. The tour covers the historical center, City Hall, Parliament buildings, Finlandia Hall and the Opera House. The bus will stop for 20 minutes at either the Temppeliaukio Church (Rock Church) or the Sibelius Monument if the church is closed. Evening departure to Rovaniemi by train on the Santa Claus Express. DAY 4 – ROVANIEMI ARRIVAL (-/-/-)

Morning arrival in Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland. Light breakfast on board the train can be booked on the spot. You will be transferred from Rovaniemi railway station to the hotel for check-in. Lapland is the ultimate winter wonderland for dreamers. The region’s charm lies in its contrasts, with 24-hour sunlight in the summer replacing the enchanting, frozen winter days. Just minutes from the lively towns and ski resorts, you can find the tranquility of the wilderness. In the evening, meet your tour escort in the hotel lobby for an info meeting through which you will get all the necessary information about the flow of your tour. Meeting time to be advised. DAY 5 – SANTA’S VILLAGE & THE REINDEER SLED RIDE (B/-/-)

Today after breakfast at the hotel, begin your day by diving into the enchanting world of Lapland. The first stop is the Santa Claus Village situated on the Arctic Circle. You will travel to the village by coach and have free time to visit Santa Claus in his office and officially cross the Arctic Circle which runs through the village. Participate in a traditional Arctic Circle crossing ceremony and receive a diploma to commemorate your visit. After the ceremony, you will meet the reindeer, experience a reindeer sled ride, obtain a reindeer driving license and enjoy a hot drink by the fire. Additionally, you can visit Santa’s post office to send a letter to yourself or a loved one stamped with Santa’s official seal. Take some time to explore the various souvenir shops and soak in the magical atmosphere of the village. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Rovaniemi

The Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis can be observed in the polar regions of the world. Our location on the Arctic Circle provides excellent opportunities to see them. Our guide will drive you out of the city to ideal spots with clearB open skies for the best chance to view the Auroras while enjoying a Lappish picnic. Transfers will be by car or bus.

DAY 6 – HUSKIES & THE POLAR ZOO OF RANUA (160 Km) (B/-/-)

Breakfast in the hotel. Today, you will visit the Ranua Wildlife Park traveling by coach. Along the way, you will stop at a husky farm where you will learn about the lives of huskies. After the introduction enjoy a mini husky safari (3 km) with a musher. Following the ride, you will have time to meet and photograph these beautiful dogs and ask any questions about the business and sport. Next visit the northernmost zoo in the world – Ranua. Your guide will lead you on a brisk walk outdoors to admire Arctic wildlife in its natural setting including elk, reindeer, wolverines, arctic foxes and the impressive polar bear. There will also be some free time for food lovers to explore the shop of the famous Finnish Fazer chocolates. Return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Optional: Aurora Borealis Snowmobile Safari (03hrs): min 2 pax

Experience the Arctic night by riding through snow-covered forests and across a frozen river. With a bit of luck, you might travel under a sky illuminated by the moon and stars and perhaps even the Northern Lights will appear to guide your way. Enjoy warm beverages and a snack by a campfire while learning about the Northern Lights and the beauty of Lapland. Each snowmobile is shared by two guests, who take turns driving. The driver must be at least 18 years old with a driver’s license valid in Finland. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited by Finnish law. Children can ride in a sled pulled by a snowmobile driven by the guide, and those over 140 cm in height can sit on the snowmobile behind an adult, paying the adult price. Lapland Safaris AC Ltd reserves the right to deny participation to small children for safety reasons, such as challenging weather or trail conditions. Please note that the Aurora Borealis is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed.

DAY 7 – DAY FOR OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES & NIGHT IN A GLASS IGLOO (B/-/D)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before spending a free day exploring Rovaniemi and its surroundings at your own pace! Consider visiting the magnificent Arktikum Museum to learn about the Sami, the indigenous people of Lapland. Alternatively, partake in one of the many activities available in the area. You might go shopping in town or take a scenic walk along the banks of the Ounasjoki River to marvel at the winter landscapes of Lapland. Don’t hesitate to ask your tour escort for advice. They are there to ensure you make the most of your time in Lapland. You can also opt for one of the optional winter activities listed below. In the afternoon, transfer to your heated 1st class glass igloo for a magical stay under the starry skies. If the weather permits, you’ll have a front-row seat from your warm bed to witness the breathtaking Northern Lights. Dinner at Glass Igloo. Overnight in a Glass Igloo

Come and experience the sensation of weightlessness during arctic ice floating! Don’t worry about the cold, you’ll be fully protected with a high-quality rescue suit. Let your body and mind float as you enjoy this frozen adventure. This guided experience is safe, thanks to the suit that covers your entire body and keeps you dry. With your own clothing underneath, you’ll stay warm even in the 0-degree open water. Lying down in the frozen lake between ice blocks is a unique experience truly worth trying – the conditions are genuinely arctic!

This snowmobile adventure offers a fantastic opportunity to master the art of driving a snowmobile. During the safari, we will take a break to enjoy hot drinks and the tranquil silence of the wilderness. Each person driving a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving license (B). Please remember to bring your driving license with you. Each snowmobile accommodates two people. For groups of three or other odd numbers, we highly recommend purchasing a single driver supplement. Snowmobile drivers are liable for any damages caused to the vehicle, with a personal self-liability of up to 900 €/person/snowmobile in case of an accident. By purchasing a 15 € self-liability insurance before the start of the safari, you can reduce the self-liability to a maximum of 150 €/person/snowmobile per accident. This insurance is personal and valid for one snowmobile safari. Children aged 0-14 years will be seated in a sledge behind the guide’s snowmobile. For the comfort and safety of small children, we highly recommend that one parent sits with the child in the sledge.
