Israel’s hospitality industry continues to evolve, with new developments announced and major hotel renovations completed across the country.
At the Dead Sea, Fattal Hotel Group has announced plans to completely reconstruct the former Leonardo Inn Dead Sea as an entirely new property under the NYX brand. NYX Dead Sea will feature 182 rooms, including 37 rooms with private pools, as well as a central swimming pool, an advanced wellness complex with 11 treatment rooms, a saltwater pool, a restaurant, a children’s club, a gym and event facilities.
Construction is expected to begin toward the end of 2026, with the hotel scheduled to open in early 2028. Once complete, Fattal will operate four hotels at the Dead Sea: Herods Dead Sea, Leonardo Plaza Dead Sea, Leonardo Club Dead Sea and the new NYX Dead Sea.
In Tel Aviv, Dan Hotels has completed a major renovation of Dan Panorama Tel Aviv, investing more than NIS 60 million in the property. The project included a complete redesign of 217 executive rooms facing the Mediterranean, the transformation of the hotel’s main dining room into SABRA restaurant, and renovations to the lobby, café and pool deck. All upgraded facilities are now open to guests.
In Ramat Gan, Leonardo Plaza City Tower has reopened following an extensive renovation representing an investment of approximately NIS 100 million. The project included redesigned guest rooms and suites, upgraded public areas, a new spa complex, refreshed dining and event facilities, and a rooftop swimming pool overlooking the city.
Israel’s hospitality industry continues to grow with several notable hotel openings, renovations, and developments across the country.
THE YACHT – Herzliya Marina officially opened in June 2026, introducing a new luxury waterfront hotel in Herzliya. Part of the Fattal Limited Edition collection, the 325-room property features sea and marina-view accommodations, a 50-meter outdoor swimming pool, spa facilities, contemporary dining, and a prime location overlooking the marina.
In Tel Aviv, Dizengoff 99 by Isrotel welcomed its first guests in March 2026. Located opposite Dizengoff Square, the stylish 122-room hotel offers modern accommodations, a rooftop pool, and a restaurant by renowned Israeli chef Haim Cohen.
Near Jerusalem, the Kassland Resort & Spa project continues to take shape. The planned 220-room all-season resort will include a luxury hotel, thermal spa, and Kass Splash—one of the Middle East’s largest indoor and outdoor water parks—creating a major new leisure destination for families and visitors.
The Royal Plaza Hotel Tiberias has completed renovations to its lobby, reception area, and pool complex. The upgraded wellness facilities now include a heated semi-Olympic swimming pool, wet and dry saunas, and a jacuzzi.
Guests planning travel later this year should note that the Dan Eilat Spa will be closed for renovations from October 18 through November 1, 2026, reopening on November 2, 2026. In addition, the Business Lounge at Dan Accadia Resort Herzliya will remain closed for renovations until the end of December 2026.
There have also been several restaurant closures across Israel. These include Aria Restaurant & Lounge, First Jerusalem (Rehavia), Hamikdash (Petach Tikva), Rungian Thai Restaurant (Ashdod), Rutenberg (Old Gesher), and Telem by Chef Aner Ben Rafael Forman.
